Introduction

My name is Travis McAfee. Though I was born near one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, I am certainly not a beach bum in the slightest. I was born in Cape Coral, Florida, but then relocated to Fort Myers when I turned nine. I was a star student my whole life; excelling in academics, sports, and the arts. My parents told me that they knew they had a good one when I was born. This was their reasoning whenever I would ask why I don't have any siblings, but who knows the real reason. My mother is a sculpting artist, and has been for the last 21 years. At the root of her art, she is a true entrepreneur, cutting her own path along the road to success. My father spends every week day remodeling beautiful multi-million dollar island homes on Sanibel and Captiva Island.

At the University of Florida, I am very involved around campus. I am a brother of Kappa Phi Epsilon Fraternity, a member of the Florida Cicerones, and I played on the club ultimate frisbee team as well.

I am currently a third year General Business major with a specialization in Leadership Development, a minor in both Spanish and Leadership. I want to accomplish many things in my time on this side of heaven. I don't necessarily have a dream career, but rather, a bucket list of things that I want to accomplish through various careers.

1) Help lead within a clan-cultured technology company (Google, Apple, Gartner, etc.)

2) Become a Professional Pilot.

3) Go on tour with a band/Work in musical talent acquisition

4) Go into full-time ministry either as a Pastor or as a missionary.

These dreams that run through my head all began during my younger years as very subtle experiences, but have recently flourished into full fledged, achievable destinations that are nearly at my finger tips as I draw closer to graduation.

I have traveled far and wide in my years. I have gone to the far reaches of northern Minnesota, to the southern coasts of Louisiana, to the snow-studded mountain tops of Utah, to the beautiful falls in Niagara. Oh wait... I did not even mention the cliffs of western Ireland and the topless beaches of Barcelona. I have seen castles as old as the myths and legends themselves, and I have explored the streets of towns that Leonardo Da Vinci himself paraded through. Traveling is an integral part of who I have become; I know that I will visit the far corners of the world before my time comes to leave this beautiful Earth.
