Week 3 Reading Reflection

The part that I was most surprised about in the chapter three reading is the mention of psychic risk in entrepreneurs. I knew that one can certainly be stressed when revenues are low and employees cause grief, but I never thought that the on the job stress could cause sever psychological issues. The book states that loneliness, immersion in business, people problems, and the need to achieve are the causes for many of these issues. I expected the reasons listed, but not the extent to which they affect people.

To be honest, I did not find anything in the text that confused me or left me lingering with questions. I felt that the book was clear and concise when describing the basic psychological aspects of entrepreneurship.

I would as the author, "How did you discover that networking was a successful strategy for stress relief?" And, "How would you classify type B personalities in terms of successful, efficient leaders?".

I don't disagree with anything the author discussed. I felt that the information was basically things that I have studied throughout my other business and psychology classes. I believe that type B personalities can still become high level leaders, but in their own way.
